Not to say that you shouldn't respect and value other cultures, but ompletely romanticising and idealising another country without understanding it is not respectful in my opinion. It's also about falling prey to toxic people who take advantage of your vulnerable mental state, the film's characters were charmed by a performative friendliness I've experienced for myself.
